Bulbul Gupta

As the Head of Market-Based Approaches at the Clinton Global Initiative, Bulbul works with member organizations on topics ranging from financial inclusion at the base of the pyramid, small-and-medium size enterprise growth and innovation, impact investing, and redefining the future of capitalism. Previously, Bulbul was an Assistant Director at The Asia Foundation, managing a portfolio of projects at 19 field offices in Asia—designing, implementing, and monitoring programs for economic reform, women’s empowerment, disaster recovery, environmental management, and more. Prior to this, she worked with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation's Population and Development program, as a Presidential Management Fellow at USAID on policy and strategy, and on and off Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, international development, trade and investment, economic development, foreign policy and diplomacy, budgeting, advocacy, and government relations. Bulbul did her B.A. in International Affairs at The George Washington University, and an M.P.P. at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.
